NEW CARLISLE — DNR says a black bear that can’t seem to make up its mind on a new home, may have wandered back to Indiana. The report came early in the week that the bear, who has gone back and forth between Indiana and Michigan all summer, might have damaged a bird feeder and left droppings behind in a subdivision on the southwest side of New Carlisle.

Authorities say an inmate of Wabash Valley Correctional Facility has died after being stabbed Friday, Dec. 26.
