ELKHART – Warsaw and Northridge were day one winners at the Class 4-A Elkhart Memorial Volleyball Sectional.

GOSHEN – Former Warsaw volleyball coach Mike Howard has been hired as the new volleyball coach at Goshen High School.

ALBION – The Whitko volleyball team captured the program’s first-ever sectional championship Saturday night at Central Noble.

ALBION — Whitko picked up a win in the sectional opener against Fremont Tuesday evening.

SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko outlasted Tippecanoe Valley, 3-1, in TRC volleyball Wednesday evening.

SOUTH WHITLEY — It was a nice night on the court for the Whitko volleyball team. The Wildcats hosted Wawasee for a Monday night matchup and sent the Warriors home with a 3-0 loss in what proved to be a pretty quick match.

WINONA LAKE – Whitko opened its 2016 volleyball season Tuesday night with a 3-0 win at Lakeland Christian Academy.

Tigers Come Up Aces

WARSAW – Warsaw dealt 10 aces in tipping the hand of Plymouth, 3-0, in volleyball Thursday night at the Tiger Den.

WARSAW – If only these two teams could play each other every night. Another rousing rendition of the Warsaw-Elkhart Memorial volleyball matchup went to Memorial after the visitors took down Warsaw 25-23, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22 Tuesday night at the Tiger Den.

MISHAWAKA – Score the first bout of the annual Warsaw versus Elkhart Memorial heavyweight volleyball prizefight as a TKO for the Crimson Chargers. Perennial power Memorial simply overpowered the Tigers Saturday as the two clashed in the final pool play match of the outstanding Mishawaka Invitational.
