A 40-year-old man allegedly attempted suicide Sunday night in the Leesburg gravel pit but was rescued by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies. Leesburg-Plain Township Fire Department was called to the Leesburg Gravel Pit around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when a piece of equipment caught fire in the gravel pit.
