SYRACUSE — Christmas programs involving youngsters always bring laughter, applause and plenty of photo opportunities. This was the case Tuesday evening at Lakeland Youth Center, Syracuse. Meteorologist Mike Sabones visited the 4-year-olds classes last Friday at Greater Warsaw Cooperative Preschool. Sabones spoke with the students about extreme weather, showing them picture slides of tornadoes, floods and avalanches. Greater Warsaw Cooperative Preschool visited the Warsaw Fire Station No. 1 last week to learn about fire safety. The students learned about what they can do to help prevent fires, safety measures if a fire occurs, and at school the students practiced Stop, Drop and Roll.
