SYRACUSE –  The Wawasee Elite 9U baseball team recently earned a third-place finish in the BPA World Series.

The team went 5-2 in the 24-team event held in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Elite placed third in the North Region, which included teams from both Indiana and Michigan.

Members of the team were Kameron Salazar (stats), Kaleb Salazar, Cody Czarnecki, Josh Patterson, Kane Dukes, Bryson Baldridge, Brayden Kauffman, Darius Lewis, Ty Brooks, Carson Smith and Ethan Slabaugh.

Coaches for the Elite 9U team were Joe Salazar, Bruce Obacz and Randy Smith.
