SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko senior centerfielder Zach Snep has been selected to participate in the 41st annual Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) North-South All-Star Series from July 9-11 in Terre Haute at Bob Warn Field on the campus of Indiana State University.

With the selection, Snep becomes the first player in program history to be selected to participate in this prestigious event.

Snep was also honored as a member of the Class 3-A Honorable Mention All-State Team as an outfielder. With the honor, Snep becomes only the second player in program history to make All-State.  In 2013, Alex Stoddard made Honorable Mention All-State as an outfielder.

This past spring, Snep hit .429 with 11 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 22 runs batted in and 14 stolen bases. He also led the Wildcats in wins going 5-1 on the mound.

Whitko head coach Erik Hisner was chosen earlier this year to coach the North All-Stars.
