Warsaw SportsWARSAW – A big final frame could not keep Warsaw from a conference baseball loss Monday night.

The host Tigers dug a 7-0 hole only to rally with five runs in the final frame in a 7-5 setback to Elkhart Memorial in a Northern Lakes Conference contest.

Tyler LaFollette had a big game at the plate with a home run and four RBI to lead Warsaw.

Zach Witt and Ryan Marshall each had two hits for the Tigers.

Kevin Hawley took the pitching loss for Warsaw.

Alec Mark led the way for Memorial with three hits, including a triple and a home run. Starter Scottie Clark got the pitching win, going six innings and striking out seven along the way.

Warsaw drops to 5-9 overall and 3-4 in the NLC. Memorial improves to 8-8 overall and goes to 3-4 in the NLC.

Memorial won the junior varsity contest 7-3. Jordan Steffensmeier had a home run for Warsaw, now 9-4 overall and 5-2 in the NLC.

Warsaw returns to NLC action Wednesday by hosting Wawasee. The Chargers will host league foe Plymouth, also on Wednesday.
