Wawasee SportsSYRACUSE – Wawasee continued to put up big offensive numbers to start its varsity baseball season. Another solid output Monday had Wawasee on the plus side of an 8-4 victory over visiting East Noble.

Caleb Dingeldein led the Warriors with three hits and three runs driven in. Drew Anderson continued to pace the top of the order with a hit, three walks, three runs scored and two stolen bases.

Drew Wright added a two-run double and Nate Prescott added a pair of hits for the Warriors, now 3-0 this season. In the three wins, Wawasee had plated 36 runs, the first 28 runs came on the road.

Aaron Voirol won his second game of the season, allowing just three walks and striking out two.

Wawasee opened the game with four runs in the bottom of the first inning, adding solo runs in the second and third before scoring twice in the fifth. East Noble opened with a run in the first and second, but weren’t able to score more than a run in any inning the rest of the way.

Wawasee will get back at it again Tuesday with a home date against Whitko.

The freshman team from Wawasee traveled to Albion Monday evening and were greeted to 19 runs from the host Central Noble in a 19-12 loss. Wawasee falls to 0-2 overall.
