New Haven Hammers Wildcats
SOUTH WHITLEY – The New Haven baseball team had its bats going Monday.
The visitors piled up 14 runs in topping host Whitko 14-1 in five innings in a non-conference contest.
New Haven scored three runs in the first, second and fourth innings and finished off the game with five more in the fifth frame. The winners outhit Whitko 13-3.
Hayden Graham led the offensive onslaught with a 4-4 effort at the dish with a homer, a double and three runs scored.
Riley Anderson, the first of four pitchers for Whitko, took the loss.
The trio of Landen Goff, Alex Bechtold and Hunter Sroufe each had a hit for the Wildcats. Goff had an RBI and Bechtold a run scored.
New Haven improves to 3-1 on the season, while Whitko drops to 1-2.
Whitko plays at Churubusco Wednesday at 5 p.m.
