Mary A. Stump, 78, New Paris, died in a two-vehicle accident  at 12:59 p.m. today at CR 21 and CR 40, north of New Paris.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reports Stump was transported to IU Health Goshen, but was pronounced deceased.

Stump was southbound on CR 21, approaching CR 40, when she failed to yield the right of way to a westbound vehicle driven by Timothy R. Martin, 45, Osceola.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department Crash Investigation Team is currently conducting an investigation.
