Mutual Bank is coming to the aid of the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Fire Department by donating all of the candy for the party. The annual trick-or-treating Halloween event is held annually by the fire department for the kids in the community.
The contribution by the bank means the fire department can use the money it usually spends for another charitable endeavor. The NWFD will donate the funds to a fellow firefighter in another department to help with his medical expenses.
“We were touched by the firefighter’s story and the generosity of the North Webster Fire Department,” explained LeAnne Francis of Mutual Bank in the bank’s decision to help with the holiday event.
The party is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the fire station in downtown North Webster. A costume contest will be held about 8 p.m. There will even be a hayride to transport the kids to the A-MAZ-ING Haunted House that is being put on by the North Webster Boy Scouts and North Webster Lions Club at the Mermaid Festival grounds.
Town trick-or-treat hours for North Webster are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Halloween night and extra police patrols will be on duty in town. For a complete list of Halloween events and trick-or-treat times around the county, click HERE.
