Whitley County authorities are investigating the cause of an industrial accident at Steel Dynamics that killed a 44-year-old Albion man.

According to a press release, Jeffery A. Flory died at approximately 9:30 p.m. last night at the plant, located at 2800 S. 800 E., Columbia City.

According to Whitley County Coroner Frederick Dellinger, Flory’s death has been ruled as accidental and was the result of blunt force trauma with multiple internal injuries.

The coroner’s office was assisted at the scene by Indiana State Police, Union Township Fire Department and officers of Whitley County Sheriff’s Department.
