NORTH WEBSTER – Monday night had a whopper of a thunderstorm roll through the area, but not before North Webster Youth League could host a pair of boys minor league baseball games as part of the three-league tournament series with Syracuse and Milford.

Spotlighted were an intraleague matchup between Milford’s Orioles and North Webster’s Yankees, which the Orioles won 14-4 in four innings. On the other diamond, Webster had a pair of team battling between the Cubs and Tigers. Donovan Blair played the role of hero for the Tigers, getting a walk-off single to beat the Cubs, 3-2.
