PIERCETON – Emergency crews were dispatched to 322 N. CR 300 E, Wednesday evening in reference to a person hit by a vehicle.  

According to investigating deputies, at around 6:39 p.m. Lisa Howard, 53, Warsaw, was driving on CR 300N, when a 7-year-old girl rode a scooter, from a residential driveway, into the path of the oncoming vehicle.

The girl was struck by the front driver’s side corner of the Dodge Journey and was transported to a Fort Wayne Hospital for a pelvic injury.
