AKRON — Contractors for the Indiana Department of Transportation will close SR 14 in both directions between CR 850W and CR 925W next week as part of a culvert replacement project.

The project is northeast of Akron.

The closure will begin on or after Monday, June 29, and the work is expected to take about a week, depending on weather conditions.

During the closure, the official state highway detour will follow SR 15 and SR 114.

Drivers should slow down and be on the lookout for construction crews in the area.
