Dr. Dan Hile, Dr. Brandon Penrod, and Dr. Patricia O’Connor of school districts in Whitley County school corporations issued a joint letter regarding the re-opening plan for the area schools.

The letter gives thanks to the students, teachers, and staff for getting through the unprecedented school year that COVID-19 made a unique challenge. The superintendents wish to inform those in the community that preparations and plans are being set in motion for the new school year.

Although there is no exact plan set in stone, the trio is setting out to make sure guidelines are followed. They will work closely with health officials and the Department of Education to further solidify plans to “prepare a feasible and academically effective re-opening plan for our students.”
