WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School graduate and former teacher Brian Scott recently had a book published by Prufrock Press.
“Concept-Based Instruction: Building Curriculum with Depth and Complexity” is written for educators using integrated subject matter and students working deeply with content. It applies the works of contemporary leaders in the field of education and relates them to practical and manageable classroom environments.
Dr. Scott attributes his ideas starting his tenure with Warsaw Schools in the 1980s and early 90s combined with experience and further education after leaving the district. He is a 1979 WCHS graduate and officially retired in 2016 as a building principal but continues to contribute to the field of education as an instructional coach, adjunct professor and consultant. He lives in Fishers with his wife Jeanine, who is a classroom teacher. They have three grown daughters.
