Kosciusko County Virus Numbers Remain Unchanged

WARSAW — The latest posting on the Indiana State Department of Health website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 1,115, up from 1,062 reported on Friday, May 1.

The total positive number of cases statewide is at 19,295. More than 104,000 Hoosiers have been tested for COVID-19.

Kosciusko County’s virus numbers remain unchanged at 36 positive cases and one death.

Locally, Whitley County has 21 positive cases, Fulton County has 31 positive cases, Wabash County has 55 positive cases, Noble County has 84 positive cases and Elkhart County has 295 positive cases. Marshall County’s case number remains unchanged at 30.

Cass County, which is south of Fulton County and includes Logansport, has 1,224 positive cases. In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 1,993 positive cases; St. Joseph County has 645 positive cases; and Allen County has 600 positive cases.

Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state at 5,983.

According to Johns Hopkins University of Medicine, more than 164,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
