WARSAW – Warsaw Community Schools on Monday, April 27, began distributing yard signs saluting individual students who are part of the 2020 graduating class.
The program was arranged since any formal celebration for graduates is not immediately possible because of the pandemic.
The “Signs for Seniors” are custom made with the senior’s first name and school logo printed on front and back on a standard yard sign that includes a stake, according to a news release from the school district.
WCS staff have already sorted signs and mapped out a distribution route. There are two items to note:
Each senior will receive one free personalized sign with their first name according to Powerschool records as a graduation gift from WCS.
If families would like additional signs, Blue River Digital is offering WCS Class of 2020 signs for $8 each. The direct link is https://blueriverd.com/product/graduation-yard-sign.
Yard sign distribution will continue through Friday, May 1. Over the course of the week, each senior will receive their yard sign. WCS elementary and secondary principals are delivering signs and look forward to congratulating students using proper social distancing. If no one answers the door, the signs will be left by the entrance.
WCS is excited to see the yard signs pop up across the community to recognize the achievements of the Class of 2020, the statement said.
