WARSAW – More than 100 people in Kosciusko County have been tested for coronavirus as of Monday, March 30.

The county has seen 111 total tests performed and results for 54.

According to information provided by the Kosciusko County Health Department, the county has recorded four positive cases.

The county statement points out that once the department is notified of a positive lab test, officials begin a case investigation.

“So far, we have been able to start investigations within the first hour, meaning we have contacted the case and have identified close contacts, as well as work/facility environments,” the statement said.

When positive cases are determined, the county health department is instructing those with close contact with the patient to quarantine themselves in accordance with CDC and ISDH precautions. Further, organizations are contacted and assisted in identifying who may be at risk and actions required, the statement said.

Anyone with questions regarding essential businesses and whether or not local businesses are following mandates put into place by the governor’s executive order should contact the Indiana State Department of Health’s Critical Industry Hotline 1 (877) 820-0890 or [email protected].
