NAPPANEE — Shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, multiple agencies responded to a two vehicle accident south of Nappanee in Kosciusko County. The accident occurred at the intersection of CR 1350 N and CR 700 W and involved a dark colored GMC Envoy and a silver Kia Forte.

The Kia suffered heavy damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. The damage to the GMC was restricted to the front end.

Visual evidence at the scene indicates that the Kia was traveling southbound on CR 700 W when it collided with the eastbound GMC. Stop signs at the intersection afford the right of way to vehicles traveling east or west on CR 1350 N.

The driver of the Kia was transported by Nappanee EMS to a Medfight ambulance, which presumably landed at the Nappanee Municipal Airport approximately 3 miles northeast of the accident scene.

Nappanee Police, Nappanee Fire, Nappanee EMS and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to call for assistance.
