WARSAW — In 2019, LAA offered more than 30 fine art events at no cost to those attending.

With monthly expenses running approximately $1,400.00, the projected budget for 2020 is $17,200.00.

LAA needs assistance to meet this budget and continue its offerings to the public. Grants for funding are being submitted but those funds will not be available for months. In the meantime, the expenses continue.  We need the help of the community with this, the group said in a prepared statement.

A financial donation of any size will help. It can be dropped off or mailed to Lakeland Art Association, 302 E Winona Ave., Warsaw, IN 46580.

A tax receipt will be mailed donors so make certain your mailing information is correct. Please feel free to contact LAA at (574) 457-6085 with any questions.

LAA continues to house a fine art gallery and gift shop. Art classes/workshops are offered to encourage & educate artists of all ages and skill levels.

Currently, LAA has a beginning watercolor class and acrylics class scheduled for 2020. More classes are in the works. Scholarships are given annually to those seeking a degree in fine art. LAA is finding models to begin Figure Studies on the fourth Saturday of each month.

LAA is partnering with Cardinal Services Red Bird Gallery and the Kosciusko Literacy Benches program in 2020. LAA is represented on the Warsaw Public Arts Commission and with the CVB for the NEIRP “Make it Your Own Mural Fest”. We continue to grow and have a stronger presence in Kosciusko Co but we want and need to do more.
