ANGOLA — Wawasee girls golf earned a win over host Fremont, 177-205, at Lake James Country Club Thursday night.

Belle Brunner shot 42 to lead the Lady Warriors, followed by Tate Cowan’s 44, Jadison Rostochak’s 45 and Taylor Cripe’s 46. Wawasee’s fifth score wasn’t far behind either as Valerie Haessig posted a 48.

“Good effort by the girls on a tough back nine at Lake James,” said Wawasee coach Steve Coverstone.

The Warriors moved to 14-4 with the result. They’ll play in the Northern Lakes Conference Championships at Stonehenge Saturday.
