ISP Holding Sobriety Checkpoint
Indiana State Police Sgt. Chad Larsh has announced a sobriety checkpoint that will be held in St. Joseph County by Bremen Post Troopers. The checkpoint will start during the evening hours of Friday, March 22.
Motorists are asked to have their driver’s license and vehicle registrations available when entering the checkpoint. This will help minimize the amount of time spent at the checkpoint. Motorists can expect short delays of only two to three minutes.
The Bremen Post serves Elkhart, St. Joseph, Marshall and Kosciusko counties. After the checkpoint, troopers will be conducting saturation patrols looking for impaired drivers. Sergeant Larsh wants to remind the public, “The state police have zero tolerance for impaired drivers. If you are over the limit, you will be arrested.”
