Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

5:42 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, West CR 350S, north of South CR 450W, Warsaw. Driver: Mallory N. Hill, 31, South Morgan Street, Mentone. Hill told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on CR 450W when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

11:48 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, East CR 1050N, west of North CR 400E, Syracuse. Driver: Hunter J. Westermann, 19, East Effie Mae Street, North Webster. Westermann told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on CR 1050N, when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

3:04 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, North SR 15, north of West CR 1100N, Milford. Driver: Justin D. Birchfield, 28, East Dove Lane, Milford. Birchfield told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 15 when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and come to rest in a field. Damage up to $5,000.

10:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, Crystal Lake Road, west of Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Driver: Timothy P. Richard, 26, East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Richard told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on Crystal Lake Road when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and roll over onto the driver’s side. Damage up to $5,000.

7:36 p.m. Saturday, East US 30, west of East VanNess Road, Pierceton. Driver: Kyan N. Ramsey, 19, North Jefferson Street, Silver Lake. Ramsey told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on US 30 when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and come to rest in the ditch. Damage up to $2,500.

6:52 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, EMS B6 Lane, west of North SR 13, Leesburg. Driver: Christopher Stevens, 24, West Huntington Street, North Webster. Stevens told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on SR 13 and began to turn onto EMS B6 Lane when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to collide with a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

4:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, South Main Street and West Prairie Street, Leesburg. Driver: Tyler D. Mote, 22, North CR 1000W, Cromwell. Mote told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 15 when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a pole and a road sign. Damage up to $10,000.

2:57 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, West US 30, west of North CR 350W, Warsaw. Driver: Leonardo Lara Galarza, 31, Ross Avenue, Warsaw. Galarza told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on US 30 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and come to rest in a ditch full of water and mud. Damage up to $5,000.

2:21 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, North Eastshore Drive, north of East Cornelius Road, Syracuse. Driver: Erica N. Yoder, 32, CR37, Syracuse. Yoder told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on Eastshore when her vehicle when her vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a mailbox. Damage up to $5,000.

12:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, South CR 550W and West CR 525S, Burket. Driver: Gregory Hunsberger, 53, South CR 675W, Warsaw. Hunsberger told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on CR 525S and that his vehicle was traveling too fast on the slick road to negotiate a curve, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.

2:28 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, East CR 1300N, west of North CR 250E, Milford. Driver: Nicolas O. Hernandez, 47, East Beer Road, Milford. Hernandez told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on CR 1300N when he fell asleep at the wheel, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway, strike a utility police and come to rest in a field. Damage up to $25,000.

11:08 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, East CR 550N, west of North CR 250E, Warsaw. Driver: Tristen A. York, 20, North Aspen Drive, Warsaw. York told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on CR 250E when his vehicle left the roadway after missing a curve. Damage up to $5,000.

10:46 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, South SR 25, south of West CR 250S, Warsaw. Drivers: Danny Zamora, 18, Anchorage Road, Warsaw; Alexa D. Holland, 21, North Old US 31, Rochester. Zamora told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on SR 25 and was coming out of a curve when he felt the rear of his vehicle begin to slide. He told police his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Holland’s vehicle head-on. Damage up to $25,000.

5:38 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, North SR 13, south of East Backwater Road, North Webster. Driver: Donald G. Sexton, 58, South CR 525 E, Pierceton. Sexton told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Claypool

Officers from the Claypool Police Department investigated the following accident:

11:17 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, South CR 750W, north of West Swick Road, Claypool. Driver: Mark J. Pelo, 57, Jameson Court, Seven Fields, Pa. Pelo told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on CR 750W when his vehicle went out of control on slick road conditions and struck a road sign. Damage up to $1,000.

North Webster

Officers from the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:

1:21 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, South Main Steeet, North Webster. Drivers: Stefanie Young, 34, North CR 250E, Milford; Thomas A. Ripsom, 61, EMS B20B Lane, Pierceton. Young told police she was backing up her vehicle and did not see the vehicle driven by Ripsom, which caused the collision. Damage up to $2,500.

4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, North CR 650E, north of East CR 200N, Warsaw. Driver: Herberto Rodriguez, 61, EMS B26 Lane, Pierceton. Rodriguez told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on CR 650E when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Damage up to $5,000.

12:44 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, Syracuse-Webster Road, north of SR 13, North Webster. Driver: Evan I. Gerding, 18, East CR 400N, Pierceton. Gerding told police he was driving his vehicle and attempting to turn into a private drive when his brakes locked up, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Damage up to $5,000.

12:03 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, North Main Street, North Webster. Driver: Jeffery L. Clark, 43, East Wawasee Lane, Syracuse. Clark told police he pulled his vehicle into the post office parking lot and that the vehicle slid and struck a sign. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

8:33 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, West High Street, Syracuse. Driver: Benjamin T. Jackson, 26, West High Street, Syracuse. Jackson told police he was driving his vehicle through an alley when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the alley and strike a fence. Damage up to $1,000.

3:39 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, East Koher Road, Syracuse. Driver: Peter Schmidt, 36, East Koher Road, Syracuse. Schmidt told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on Koher road when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

9:57 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, North Detroit Street and West CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Christopher A. Martin, 43, EMS W25 Lane, Warsaw; Sandra L. Beery, 58, North CR 620E, Syracuse. Martin told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on North Detroit Street and attempted to stop, but could not avoid a rear-end collision with Beery’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

3:27 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, Patterson Road, west of Normandy Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Thomas M. Lahmon, 60, EMS B37 Lane, Warsaw. Lahmon told police he was driving his vehicle southwest on Patterson Road when he lost control of his vehicle on a curve, causing it to collide with a guidewire and a tree. Damage up to $5,000.

2:56 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, an alley north of East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Nicholas A. Huffer, 38, East Main Street, Warsaw; Judith A. Moore, 68, Harmony Court, Winona Lake. Huffer told police he was backing his vehicle out of his driveway into an alley and did not see the vehicle driven by Moore, causing the vehicles to collide. Damage up to $2,500.

2:53 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, Pam Street, south of Brookview Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Bertha A. Gallegos, 57, Pam Street, Warsaw. Gallegos told police she was backing her vehicle out of her driveway and did not see an unoccupied parked car, causing her vehicle to collide with the parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

2:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, North Buffalo Street, north of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeremy P. Blue, 31, East Main Street, Warsaw; James R. Mills, 71, East Tyner Drive, Warsaw. Blue told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on Center Street and attempted to turn. He said due to the conditions of the road, his vehicle collided with Mills’ vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

2:33 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, Commerce Drive, south of US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Scott M. Jones, 30, South CR 500E, Pierceton; Joseph A. Warren, 43, South CR 300E, Warsaw. Jones told police he was driving his vehicle southwest on Commerce Drive when he lost control of his vehicle due to the road conditions and collided with the vehicle driven by Warren. Warren’s vehicle collided with a fence. Damage up to $5,000.

12:59 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, North Detroit Street, south of Enterprise Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael A. Smith, 60, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw; Amy L. Elliott, 45, 18th Road, Tippecanoe. Smith told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on North Detroit Street after just having had it serviced. He said the rear right tire and wheel came off his vehicle, causing it to stop in the roadway. He said his tire and wheel went into southbound traffic and collided with Elliott’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

9:56 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, McKinley Street and East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Nancy J. Denney, 58, Little Eagle Drive, Warsaw; Jose L. Rodriguez, 21, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Denney told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on McKinley Street and stated she thought she’d stopped for the stop sign at Jefferson Street. When she pulled her vehicle into the intersection, her vehicle was struck by Rodriguez’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

9:58 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, SR 15, south of Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Dontaye Y. Cain, 26, Chinworth Court, Warsaw; Peter A. Werner, 33, North CR 150E, Milford. Werner told police that he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 15 when the vehicle driven by Cain pulled into his path. He said he was unable to avoid a collision and told police that Cain initially did not stop, but was stopped later, where the accident investigation was conducted. Damage up to $2,500.

6:59 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, East US 30, east of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Driver: Connor M. Julian, 24, North Timberline Circle, Warsaw. Julian told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on US 30 when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
