SYRACUSE — Wawasee Community Educators Association is hosting a forum for candidates seeking a seat on the Wawasee School Board. The forum is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the lecture hall at Wawasee Middle School, 9850 SR 13, south of Syracuse.

There is only a race for the District 2 seat representing Turkey Creek Township. Incumbent Mary Lou Dixon is seeking a fifth term and is being opposed by Steven Baut and William Cripe.

Incumbents Rob Fisher, District 1 (Tippecanoe Township), and Rebecca Linnemeier, District 3 (Van Buren and east Jefferson townships) are both running unopposed.
