Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

2:37 p.m. Monday, July 16, East CR 1250N, near North CR 825E, Syracuse. Drivers: Jacey R. Rasler, 18, East Wizard Of Oz Way, Cromwell; and Michael Silveus, 60, 21st Street 6, Washington, DC. Rasler was traveling east on CR 1250N when she approached a curve. Her vehicle slipped on water, causing her to stay straight and hit Silveus’ vehicle. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch. Damage up to $25,000.

10:41 a.m. Monday, July 16, East Pickwick Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Vazquez Guajardo, 17, North Sparta Lake Road, Ligonier. Guajardo told police she was attempting to turn her vehicle into a parking space at Miller’s Merry Manor and that she did not turn sharp enough, causing her vehicle to strike a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:24 a.m. Thursday, July 19, East US 30 and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Edgar J. Pippenger, 71, Meadowlark Boulevard, Warsaw; Jessica A. Nelson, 27, Wooster Road, Winona Lake. According to Police, Pippenger was driving his vehicle southeastbound on US 30 and Nelson was traveling in her vehicle northwestbound on US 30. Both drivers claimed to have green signals and neither witnesses nor police could determine which driver had the proper signals. Pippenger turned his vehicle left into the path of Nelson’s vehicle, causing the two to collide. Pippenger, Nelson and a four-year-old passenger in Nelson’s car were all transported by EMS to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. Damage up to $25,000.

7:55 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, South Wood Street, south of East Center Street, Warsaw. Garrett K. Arthur of Warsaw told police that he came home from work to find that his parked car had been hit by another vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
