Herbert Ross, 87, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 9:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013,  in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.

He was born Feb. 21, 1925, to Jennings and Gladys (Bloom) Ross in Kosciusko County, Ind. He was a World War II veteran, receiving the Purple Heart. He was previously employed by Huffer Foundry as a molder.

Herbert was survived by his children: Wendy (Chuck) Hill, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Steven (Jacquelene) Ross, Fort Wayne; Jenneta Ross-Addington, South Bend, Ind.; and Herbert Jr. (Nancy) Ross, Fort Wayne; a sister: Betty Creviston, Warsaw. Ind.; and numerous grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

There will be a graveside service with military honors at a later date. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
