WARSAW — The Northern Indiana Lakes Festival was put on hold for a brief moment today, May 28, as a Memorial Day Ceremony was held.

Members of the Warsaw JROTC presented the colors and the National Anthem was played over Central Park’s speakers. All activities and booths were put on hold as the whole whole festival payed their respects to those who have served.

Doug Baumgardner, president of Warsaw’s 1st Source Bank, led the invocation and a moment of silence.

The whole ceremony lasted less than ten minutes, but gave festival attendees a chance to honor all who have served and are currently serving.

More Memorial Day Ceremonies will be held throughout the county on Monday, May 29. Here is a full listing of those ceremonies.
