SOUTH WHITLEY — The Whitko boys basketball team was back in action Saturday evening. The Wildcats hosted Three Rivers Conference rival Manchester and escaped with a 57-54 victory.

Nate Walpole led Whitko with 28 points while River West added 11. Spencer Sroufe had a game-high 13 rebounds.

Whitko improves to 12-7 overall and 5-3 in the TRC. The ‘Cats host Peru Tuesday night.

Whitko’s JV fell 27-24. Cody Swick led Whitko with seven points.
