WARSAW — A semitractor that jackknifed near the intersection of Lake City Highway and Anchorage/CR 200N, has shut down eastbound traffic behind it. Full tanks of diesel fuel, on the semitractor, have ruptured and are spilling out onto the highway.

Police have shut off the highway at the US 30 off ramp onto SR 15, to all traffic heading eastbound from the west. The length of closure is unknown at this time. State highway officials and Kosciusko County Emergency Management Director Ed Rock have been called to the scene. A wrecker service is on the scene.

Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Department is utilizing booms and other material to contain the spill. However, a strong smell of diesel fuel is evident.

No other vehicles have been reported as being involved in the situation.
