Dolores Biggs Iholts, 81, Rochester, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

She was born on June 29, 1934, in Rochester, the daughter of Admiral Dewey and Pauline Marie (Dale) Biggs. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1953 and had served with the United States Air Force. Later in life, she returned to school at the University of Evansville to study real estate.

Dolores spent many years living and working in South Bend. While in South Bend, she had worked for the United States Government in various divisions until her retirement. In her spare time, she attended the Lutheran Church, loved her time with her dogs, working on genealogy and family history, reading and being with her family.

Survivors include her sister: Jean Koch, Rochester; nieces and nephews; Richard D. Biggs; Darryl Biggs; Marcia E. DeLee, all of South Bend; Dave A. Biggs, Rochester; Dennis F. Koch, Fort Wayne; Cheri Hogan, Rochester; Joseph D. Koch, Rochester; Brad A. Biggs, Fullerton, Calif.; Lolly Rees, Ladoga; several great-nieces and nephews, including special great-nieces: Kassie Koch, Kokomo; and Lizzie Reese, Lagoda. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Dale R. Biggs; William D. Biggs; Richard E. Biggs; Robert D. Biggs; sisters: Betty L. Biggs; and Julia I. Biggs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Friends may visit from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans’ Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center.
