Patrick A. Weitzel, 46, Andrews, passed away at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born to Larry Weitzel (Diana) of Wabash, and Patricia (Smith) VanMeter of Silver Lake, on May 28, 1969, in Wabash.

Patrick married Kelly Wilcox on June 5, 2003, she survived. He worked at GenCorp in Wabash, also the family business Wabash Interiors and his brothers business L.A.W. and Son Inc.

Along with his parents and wife, he is also survived by brothers: Alan (Monica) Weitzel, Akron; Timothy Weitzel, Toledo, Ohio; and Eric Weitzel, Silver Lake; sister: Diane Weitzel, Peru; half-brother: Adam Weitzel, Laketon; half-sister: Nicole Schafer, Wabash; stepsisters: Ashley Martin; Andrea Martin, both of Wabash; and many nieces and nephews.

Patrick had a great since of humor. He loved the civil war, fishing, his family, and his wife.

Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash, with Pastor Conrad Thompson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
