Grace Period Ending For Parking Enforcement In Downtown Warsaw

WARSAW — A grace period is currently in effect regarding parking tickets in downtown Warsaw.

As the final stage of the Indiana Back on Track initiative approaches, parking enforcement’s presence will begin to increase downtown, according to a news release from the city.

As parking enforcement’s presence increases, they will transition from written warnings to written tickets, the statement said.

There is a two-hour parking limit for downtown parking from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Parking tickets are issued for the following violations:

  • First overtime parking – $10
  • Second overtime parking – $20
  • Double parking – $10
  • Improper parking – $10
  • Alley parking – $10
  • Blocking driveway – $10
  • No parking area – $10
  • Parking in a handicapped stall – $50
