WARSAW – A Warsaw man was injured in a crash that occurred just before noon on Monday, July 13.

Scott M. Clay, 23, was treated on scene and transported to KCH for his injuries after he lost control of his vehicle and ran into the side of a house.

Clay was turning onto Center Street off of Reed when he accelerated too hard. He lost control of the vehicle and spun around 180 degrees. He then fishtailed through the Spirit gas station parking lot, struck a parked Hummer, and ultimately the side of a house on Reed Street. Warsaw Police, Warsaw Fire, and EMS responded to the accident. The driver sustained a few big cuts to his head, according to an officer.

A witness said she heard screeching followed by the loud bang of the vehicle hitting the house. Damages as a result of the accident estimated to be around $10,000.
