WARSAW — Between noon Wednesday, June 24, and noon Friday, June 26, the Kosciusko County Health Department reported a total of 20 new COVID-19 cases. This brings the county’s total number of reported cases to 453, with three deaths.

Currently, 208 Kosciusko County residents have recovered from COVID-19. Twelve cases are hospitalized active cases, with 233 cases classified as active. A “hospitalized active case” consists of any active cases that are currently or have been hospitalized at all during their illness. However, consistent with non-hospitalized cases, once their 21-day active period is completed, they are considered recovered.

KCHD staff ask that anyone experiencing issues with an employer regarding COVID-19 diagnosis or exposure contact the health department.

“We also encourage employers to reach out to the local health department for any questions and/or guidance regarding COVID-19,” read a KCHD press release.

Statewide, the latest posting on the Indiana State Department of Health website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 2,403.

The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 44,140. More than 453,000 Hoosiers have been tested for COVID-19.

Locally, Fulton County has 64 positive cases, Whitley County has 75 positive cases, and Wabash County has 101 positive cases. Marshall County has 393 positive cases, Noble County has 404 positive cases, and Elkhart County has 2,864 positive cases.

In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 4,650 positive cases; Allen County has 2,547 positive cases; and St. Joseph County has 1,780 positive cases.

Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state at 11,104.

According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 663,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
