Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 2:44 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, West CR 1350N, west of North CR 950W, Warsaw. Driver: Donna L. Prescott, 54, West CR 1350N, Nappanee. Prescott was traveling west on West CR 1350N when a horse belonging to Kenneth Slabaugh, Nappanee, got loose and entered the roadway. Prescott’s vehicle struck the horse. Prescott complained of head and left arm pain and was taken to Goshen General Hospital. Damages up to $25,000.
- 1:26 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, East CR 100N, east of North CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Cathy S. Ehresman, 55, EMS B61J Lane, Warsaw. Ehresman was traveling west on CR 100N when a deer entered the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
- 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, East SR 14, near South CR 400E, Silver Lake. Drivers: Grace L. Metzger, 20, South CR 400E, Claypool; and Robert D. Reahard, 66, North Wabash Street, Wabash. Metzger was traveling north on CR 400E and was stopped at a stop sign at SR 14. She did not notice Reahard’s vehicle traveling east on SR 14 and entered Reahard’s lane of travel. Reahard’s vehicle then overturned, coming to rest on its top. Reahard and a passenger in Reahard’s vehicle, Julie A. Reahard, 63, Wabash, were both airlifted from the accident due to neck pain. Damages up to $50,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 1:02 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Madison J. Sudlow, 15, West CR 600N, Warsaw. Sudlow was backing out of a parking space when her vehicle struck a parked vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
