Area Accident Reports

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

4:29 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, On Old Road 15, north of West CR 600N, Leesburg. Driver: Diana L. Goodman, 51, EMS W16 Lane, North Webster. Goodman was driving southbound and his vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

12:34 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 601 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw. Drivers: Matthew A. Smith, 20, East CR 575S, Pierceton; and Bianca B. Baker, 401 Kings Court, Winona Lake. Smith was backing up into a parking spot when his vehicle struck Baker’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000
5:31 p.m. Monday, June 1, US 30, near Springhill Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Lamar M. Mast, 53, East Esterbrook Drive, North Webster; and Tobias T. Vanhouten, 49, West Division Road, Pierceton. Mast was distracted by his dog in the passenger seat when approaching a stoplight. He did not have time to stop and ran into the back of Vanhoutens vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
