Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 1:37 p.m. Thursday, May 28, Barbee Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Mike Bryant, 65, West CR 200S, Warsaw; and Ronald Shortt, 23, EMS B42 Lane, Leesburg. Bryant was backing out of a driveway when he entered the roadway, into the path of Shortt’s vehicle. Shortt’s vehicle then struck Bryant’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000. 
• 11:33 a.m. Thursday, May 28, SR 15, south of West CR 800S, Claypool. Drivers: Robert Combs, 51, Perch Drive, Silver Lake; and Hayley Cooper, 30, Main Street, Warsaw. Combs said he was driving north on SR 15 behind Cooper’s vehicle when Cooper’s vehicle began to slow and then came to a stop. Combs’ vehicle rear-ended Cooper’s vehicle. Combs’ vehicle then continued north and struck a parked, unoccupied work vehicle that was partially off the roadway. Combs complained of knee/lower leg pain. Cooper complained of back pain. A passenger in Combs’ vehicle, Lydia Combs, 17, Perch Drive, Silver Lake, complained of  knee/lower leg pain. Damage up to $25,000. 
• 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Jordan Shepherd, 26, Burkhart Drive, Warsaw. Shepherd’s vehicle went off the roadway and struck an REMC utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

• 10:19 p.m. Thursday, May 28, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Chance Raney, 17, 1st Place, Leesburg. While backing out of a parking space, Raney’s vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
