Whitko School Board Votes On New Hirings

SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko School Board Voted on new hires and changes in position.

A brief virtual meeting was held Monday, May 18. At the meeting, members of the board voted, all in favor, to employ a variety of new people to the staff of the Whitko School Corporation.

Those hired at Whitko Jr./Sr. High School are: Shelby Dobson, School Counselor; Kristen Alexander, School Counselor; Shannon Yarger, Assistant Cheerleading Coach; Julius Mays, Athletic Director; Kathryn Henry, Master Teacher; and Nick Meadows, Student Tech Intern.

Those hired at the new Whitko Career Academy are: Tammy Coyle-Walter, Health Services Instructor; Jade Hollenbaugh, Machine and Manufacturing Instructor; and Sandra Benedict, Educations Professions / Early Childhood Education Instructor.

Shanon Layne was hired to work at Pierceton Elementary School as a master teacher.

Those who changed positions for Whitko Jr.Sr. High School are: Ashley Roberts, mentor teacher; Brittany Hamm, master teacher; and Teresa Knepple, mentor teacher.

Changing positions for Pierceton Elementary School are: Dana Clutter, mentor teacher; Kathy Wright, mentor teacher; and Julie Klepinger, mentor teacher.

Changing positions for South Whitley Elementary School are: Hilary Stouder, master teacher; Jessica Long, mentor teacher; and Tammy Datzman, mentor teacher.

The next school board meeting with be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 15.
