News Release

MILFORD — The Milford Cemetery Association would like to express appreciation to all those people who have followed the recommendations for cemetery cleanup and removal of items not allowed on gravesites.

There are some shepherd’s hooks still needing to be removed and some downsizing of some gravesite landscaping needing done. The new guidelines have been instituted to assure the maintenance crew can adequately mow around gravesites and be safe while doing that.

Volunteers are needed to help with weed eating the whole cemetery. Originally scheduled for May 19, the date has been changed to Wednesday, May 20, beginning at 1 p.m. Bring weed eaters, goggles and masks.

Those with any questions about the cemetery rules, should contact the Van Buren Township Trustee, Becky Alles at (574) 453-8676.
