Kosciusko County Reports One New COVID-19 Case

WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Health Department recently reported one new COVID-19 case and one new recovery.

This brings Kosciusko County to a total of 39 cases with one death. According to the KCHD, 20 cases have recovered.

Statewide, the latest posting on the Indiana State Department of Health website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 1,213, up from 1,151 reported on Monday, May 4.

The number of cases statewide is at 21,033. More than 115,000 Hoosiers have been tested for COVID-19.

Locally, Whitley County has 22 positive cases, Marshall County has 32 positive cases, Fulton County has 34 positive cases, and Elkhart County has 342 positive cases.

Wabash County’s case number remains unchanged at 63. Noble County has 122 positive cases, up from 86 reported on Monday.

Cass County, which is south of Fulton County and includes Logansport, has 1,406 positive cases. In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 2,161 positive cases; Allen County has 695 positive cases; and St. Joseph County has 687 positive cases.

Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state at 6,419.

According to Johns Hopkins University of Medicine, more than 180,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
