PIERCETON – Free pizza on a Sunday afternoon? Why not?

Pierceton Presbyterian Church on 1st Street had 210 pizzas to give away Sunday afternoon. The distribution was supposed to begin at 4 p.m., but neighbors as close as the house next door started showing up a few minutes before.

The giveaway of Pizza Hut pizzas included a note of thanks from the church to those who keep the community safe and healthy. It also invited recipients to their Sunday worship service.

The event was made possible through Pizza Hut of Warsaw and Pizza Stop & Sub of Pierceton.
