WARSAW — Stafford’s Solid Waste, Inc. gave back to the community while supporting local businesses by distributing 400 free gift cards to the public on Saturday, May 2.

Hundreds showed up for the giveaway, with a long line of vehicles extending out past Stafford’s location on East Pound Drive North. Vehicles started lining up at 9:30 a.m. for the noon giveaway. Warsaw Police officers assisted in directing traffic.

The company partnered with area restaurants to distribute $30 gift cards. Participating restaurants included American Table, Arby’s (SR 15 location), Penguin Point, Pizza Hut (Detroit Street location) and Subway. Each vehicle received one free gift card.

Stafford’s also had a drawing for two $200 gift cards, one being for Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts and the other for North Pointe Cinemas.
