Kosciusko County Reports A New COVID-19 Case, 13 Recoveries

WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Health Department reported one new COVID-19 case, bringing the county’s total number of positive cases to 27.

According to a KCHD press release, 13 people in the county have recovered from the virus. Two deaths as a result of COVID-19 have been reported. Currently, the Indiana State Department of Health’s map does not reflect Kosciusko County’s updated number of positive cases and deaths.

The latest posting on the ISDH website shows the total number of positive cases statewide as 13,680, with the number of deaths in Indiana totaling 741. This is an increase from 706 reported on Thursday, April 23.

More than 75,500 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Indiana.

Fulton, Wabash, Whitley and Marshall Counties’ positive case numbers remain unchanged at 7, 12, 16 and 25, respectively. Noble County has 51 positive cases, which is up from 47 reported on Thursday. Elkhart County has 211 positive cases, which is up from 196.

Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state at 4,537.

In northern Indiana, Lake County has 1,445 positive cases; St. Joseph County has 515 positive cases; and Allen County has 400 positive cases.
