PLYMOUTH — The Marshall County Health Department announced the county’s first death from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Tuesday, April 21.

The individual was a woman from Marshall County, said a news release posted on the Marshall County Health Department’s Facebook Page.

The woman died in St. Joseph County on Saturday, April 18. The death was reported to the MCHD on Tuesday, April 21. No further information about the patient will be released due to privacy laws, said the news release.

As of 11:59 p.m. Monday, April 20, Marshall County reported 24 total positive cases according to the Indiana State Department of Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard.

Wabash County also reported its first death Tuesday.
