Warsaw Schools Extend Closing Of Physical Buildings
WARSAW — In light of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s press release and executive order on Thursday, April 2, Warsaw Community Schools will extend the closing of physical school buildings through the end of the 2019-20 school year.
As previously messaged, Warsaw Schools and active student learning continues to stay open through eLearning lessons, meeting the requirements presented in the executive order.
WCS conducts eLearning each week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while using Tuesdays and Thursdays as student waiver days. The school corporation will continue under the current plan while it awaits further guidance from the governor’s office and the Indiana Department of Education. WCS will evaluate the situation and will communicate any changes as they become necessary.
Additionally, WCS services provided by Food and Nutrition, Transportation, Technology, teachers and the WCS nurse on-call will continue to provide services to students and the community. Specific modifications will be made and published in the near future. All updates will be posted on the FAQs forum on the district website at warsawschools.org.
