SYRACUSE — Evan Coblentz has been named valedictorian and Michael Hammer salutatorian for the Wawasee High School Class of 2020.

Evan is the son of Allen and Mindy Coblentz of North Webster. Evan plans to attend Purdue University and major in animal science with a pre-veterinary concentration.

He has been active in FFA, serving on the Indiana FFA Executive Committee, theater, International Thespian Society, Drama Club, National Honor Society, 4-H, student council and Country Bible Church youth group.

Michael is the son of Todd and Lois Hammer of North Webster. Michael also plans to attend Purdue and will major in professional flight in order to become a pilot.

He has been active in student council as vice president, Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy, National Honor Society, cross country, basketball and track.

Wawasee’s graduation ceremony is tentatively planned for Sunday, May 31.
