Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
5:23 a.m. Monday, March 23, SR 13, Warsaw. Driver: Monty J. Sechrist, 45, Brown Road, Leesburg. Sechrist’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
3:53 a.m. Monday, March 23, Armstrong Road, west of North CR 200E, Leesburg. Driver: Cyrus E. Arrowood, 32, North CR 400E, Warsaw. Arrowood’s vehicle went off the road, striking a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
9:26 p.m. Sunday, March 22, North CR 675E, north of East CR 500N, North Webster. Driver: Todd J. Guiff, 50, SR 114, North Manchester. Guiff said his vehicle hit a slick spot in the road, causing the vehicle to go off the roadway and into a ditch, striking a tree. Guiff complained of chest pain and was examined by medics at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
11:21 a.m. Thursday, March 19, East CR 850N, North Webster. Driver: Peggy Lauer, 63, Turtle Bay Drive, Syracuse. Lauer was backing her vehicle out of a private drive when her vehicle struck a set of mailboxes. Damage up to $5,000.
6:23 a.m. Thursday, March 19, SR 15, north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Jared Barr, 48, Petra Court, Rockford, Mich. KCSO was called to the area of SR15 in reference to a semi rollover accident. Barr said he was southbound on SR 15 when the wheels on the right side of his vehicle went off the road, causing the semi truck/trailer to go down into a ditch, striking a utility pole and overturning. The vehicle was loaded with approximately 50,000 pounds of beans. Damage up to $100,000.

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:27 a.m. Monday, March 23, CR 500W and CR 600N. Driver: Katherine Overmeyer, no other information available. Hit deer.
12:54 a.m. Monday, March 23, 7671 Main St., Rochester. Driver: Don Wright, no other information available. Wright reported his vehicle slid off the road and hit a speed limit sign.
