WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Recycling Depot is staying open but has implemented a few changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Community drop-off bins in the county are operational and are still being serviced on a regular schedule; however, the recycling depot’s re-use room is closed until further notice.

The depot’s facility drop-off is also open but there have been changes in how drop-off operates.

“Respect the gentlemen that work in our warehouse and follow their instructions,” said a statement from the Kosciusko County Recycling Depot. “We have changed how items are taken in, IDs checked and paperwork filled out in order to comply with the six-foot social spacing requirements. This is for their protection and your own.”

The recycling depot’s staff also asks that all questions be fielded through e-mail, Facebook or over the phone and only asks people to come to the facility if they are making a drop-off.

Depot staff are also working on putting lessons out on Google Classroom to help reach eLearning students, as well as homeschooled students.
